What a struggle

Starting Thursday was quite a painful struggle.  There is very little I can or will share in a blog.  I would like to put it all out here and feel that it would be helpful to me to do so; but am concerned how it would impact others.  I will just post this entry and continue to move forward.  It seems like things that I say which I don’t feel are hurtful can have a painful impact on others; conversely, the same happens to me.  I am not sure what the best what the best way to communicate is without thinking about every single word prior to speaking.  This seems awkward and untenable as well.

This communication issue is only piece of the struggles. I am just tired and sad.  This to will pass as they say.

Avoid the seven deadly sins of running technique

These are what to avoid.  The question is how? Not sure if the book gives more details.

Saying Thanks 11/12 – More simple Marriage Project

I thanked Kim for bt2, cleaning, and taking care of her dog.  Again not very original but it continues to help.  I thought of several other things to be thankful for on this morning’s run.  I was initially stewing about some things that were said at bedtime, but I decided to think about what to be grateful for and my attitude and demeanor changed.  This is good because I was up and running at 4:30 am.  Be angry and p.o.’d for the rest of day makes for a long and tiring day.

Today’s post at the Simple Marriage Project was another good one.  I very much related to not wanting to discuss things because I already know that it will cause a fight and as a result I say nothing.

A good post on Low Carb Diet

Below is a good post on Low Carb diet.

I have recently subscribed to this site and there have been some interesting posts.  And I finally get to put something in the diet section (other than food poisoning) :0

Saying Thanks

I thanked Kim for taking care of Macie, doing the laundry and walking her dog.  Not very original but a start.  This was a good day to start and I am glad I remembered.  I got home very late from work and it was already time for bed.  The thank you’s opened the door for more conversation and we were able to spend an hour talking before going to sleep.  Thanks to The Simple Marriage Project for the suggestion.

A secret to getting up and working out

I have accidentally discovered a secret to getting up and working out.  My alarm clock was very easy to set or reset the alarm making little or no noise.  As a result, I would often wake up between 3:00 and 4:00 am and reset my alarm (which was set for 4:00 am) to 5:30 am.  Macie broke my alarm clock last week.  Kim had a goofy “talking” alarm clock.  It is VERY noise when setting the alarm and there is NO snooze button.

As a result, I actually got up this morning and did some sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups and dips.  I have had a Power Tower for years.  It is a great piece of equipment and a good complement to P90X.  So this morning was a start.  178 pounds this morning – time to set some goals.

The other secret from the past 2 days is that it is much, much, much easier to get up and work out when the baby sleeps through the night.  I don’t have the key for that.  We did, however, turn off the humidifier in her room.  We have been concerned that she was to cold.  It appears that she may have been to warm.

What a good idea, 10 days of gratitude

This one of my feeds.  I will be keeping track of this for the next 10 days.

Fever finally gone

After 7-10 days of off and on fever, Macie’s fever seems to be finally gone.  Not sure if it was from shots or if she is cutting 2 year molars.  I tried to check for molars but she gagged and I was afraid she would throw-up.  So once again no exercise as I was trying to catch-up on sleep and rest (which you cant really do, but I attempted anyway).  Jordan and I got to watch a couple of movies on Saturday which was nice.

Church has been reviewing a book called unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks about Christianity… and Why It Matters.  It has produced some of the best sermons I have ever witnessed at a church.  I will need to add to my list of must read.

I have also been reading Brisingr (Inheritance, Book 3).  I get to read 1 pleasure book a year.  Thus far this book is very good.  It is amazing to me how young this writer is but I would say his writing is now more mature than his first book.
